The Tragus and Anti Tragus Piercing

The Tragus Piercing is located in the tiny protrusion of cartilage opposite to the rim.

A normal healing time is from 3 to 9 month but takes often longer as it is an area often solicited.

The Antitragus Piercing is located in the small cartilage above the earlobe. Like the Tragus Piercing it takes from 3 to 9 month to heal and sometimes longer.

Avoid to sleep on the side you get your ear pierced the first week and avoid to use dirty phone that might lead to infections during the healing process. Make sure your phone is clean or use headphones as much as you can. Don’t rush it as an unappropriated jewellery change or too soon could lead to infection.

Each ear anatomy is different and what it is possible for your friends might not be exactly the same for you, we always seek for the best option on your ear to allow a safe healing process and a comfortable piercing experience, see our amazing piercer team for assistance.

In the Black Hat Tattoo, we can perform a double forward Helix piercing in once, but if you go for a triple forward Helix we advise you to do the first two ones and getting the third one once the first two are healed.

If you need to remove your jewellery after a full healing process, you have to know that some piercings hole will stay when some will close completely even after a long time.

The piercers of The Black Hat tattoo guarantee you that they have undertaken an appropriate training with an experienced mentor and that they respect the code of ethics of the piercing industry.

Check our aftercare recommendations, and do not hesitate to keep contact with our Tattoo shop in Dublin for any question.
