The Tragus and Anti Tragus Piercing

The Tragus Piercing is located at the tiny protrusion of cartilage opposite to the rim.

The normal healing time is between 3 to 9 months, but it often takes longer as it is an area often solicited.

The Antitragus Piercing is located at the small cartilage above the earlobe. Like the Tragus Piercing it takes between 3 to 9 months to heal - sometimes even longer.

Avoid sleeping on your side for the first week after getting your ear pierced and avoid using a dirty phone that might lead to infections during the healing process. Make sure your phone is clean or use headphones as much as you can. Don’t rush it as an unappropriated jewellery change too soon could lead to infection.

All ears look different and what is possible for your friends might not be exactly the same for you. We always seek for the best option on your ear to allow a safe healing process and a comfortable piercing experience. See our amazing piercer team for assistance.

At the Black Hat Tattoo, we can perform a double forward Helix piercing in one session, but if you go for a triple forward Helix, we advise you to do the first two first, and getting the third one once they have healed.

If you need to remove your jewellery after a full healing process, you must know that some piercing holes will stay while others will close completely even after a long time.

The piercers at The Black Hat tattoo guarantee that they have undertaken the appropriate training with an experienced mentor and that they respect the code of ethics of the piercing industry.
